Pianomat for carpet linings

Pianomat for carpet linings provides the softness of an exclusively thick carpet.

“Don’t be hard!”

The floor is the most intensively used component of any room. Finishing it with only a lining, without the appropriate underlay will not ensure an adequate comfort of use. This will be provided by Pianomat®, a simple and effective carpet underlay. This type of underlay is very popular in Western Europe and the US.

We recommend blue Pianomat with a thickness of 10 mm and 5 mm.

Provides unique walking comfort

Pianomat underlay installed under a carpet lining provides a ‘soft subfloor effect’. The feeling of pleasant softness from an exclusively thick carpet. Additionally, the underlay’s flexibility extends the lifespan of the linings thanks to a high absorption of energy generated while cooling.

Ensures high acoustic comfort

Pianomat can dampen sounds in any room. Finishing the floor with a standard carpet lining does not ensure protection against sound transmission. Tests have shown that Pianomat significantly improves the floor’s reduction of impact sounds (for 5 mm Pianomat: ∆Lw=34 dB; for 10 mm Pianomat: ∆Lw=44 dB).

Provides warmth and additional insulation

Besides, Pianomat underlay has very good thermal insulation properties. If installed under carpet linings, it additionally insulates the floor. The thermal conductivity coefficient for 5 mm Pianomat is 0.036 W/mK, and for 10 mm Pianomat: 0.037 W/mK.

Provides economic and environmental benefits

Pianomat is cost-efficient: installation does not create much waste. Since it is made of an eco-recycled foam, Pianomat is also very friendly to the environment.
